What is Mindova?
Mindova is a free browser extension that helps you block distracting websites, set daily time limits, start focus sessions, and understand how you spend your time online.
Is Mindova free?
Yes. Mindova is free to use, and all current browser extension features are available without a paid subscription or credit card.
Which browsers does Mindova support?
Mindova works with Chromium-based desktop browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi.
How do I install Mindova?
Install Mindova from the Chrome Web Store, open the extension from your browser toolbar, and sign in with Google or email. You can then add distracting websites and start your first focus session.
Website Blocking and Focus
How do I block a website with Mindova?
Open Mindova, go to Site Management, and add the website domain to your blocked-sites list. You can then set a daily limit for that website.
Can I set daily time limits for websites?
Yes. Mindova lets you set a total daily distraction limit and separate daily limits for individual websites.
What is a Focus Session?
A Focus Session uses a timer to help you work without distracting websites. Open the Focus tab, choose your session duration, and select Start.
What are AI Nudges?
AI Nudges are smart reminders that help you notice distracting browsing and return to the task you intended to complete. You can enable or disable them in Settings.
Can I turn website protection on or off?
Yes. You can enable or disable Mindova’s website protection directly from the extension.
Analytics, Privacy and Sync
What information appears in the Mindova Dashboard?
The Dashboard shows information such as focus time, productive time, distracting time, recent activity, blocked websites, and your most visited websites.
What browsing information does Mindova use?
Mindova processes browsing activity needed to provide website blocking, time limits, recent activity, and dashboard insights. This activity is processed on your device wherever possible.
What does Cloud Sync do?
Cloud Sync synchronizes supported Mindova settings and productivity data linked to your account, so they are available across your devices. You can enable or disable Cloud Sync from Settings. While it is disabled, the extension operates locally.
Availability and Support
Does Mindova work on Android or iPhone?
Not yet. Mindova’s mobile apps for iOS and Android are currently in development. The browser extension is available now on supported desktop browsers.
What should I do if a website is not being blocked?
Check that Mindova protection is enabled and confirm that the correct domain appears in your blocked-sites list. Refresh the website after saving your settings. If the problem continues, contact Mindova Support.
